About the Artist
The Orlando Art Gallery has many purposes. Its cornerstone purpose, though, is to showcase the vast artistic talent population in our great city. We are especially interested in promoting the abundance of talent in our Orlando lower income community, Parramore. Antron Sanders represents the very best of community contributors and talent combined. Basketball coach is a great idea and ended as covid took over. Created his own designs, etc.
Antron’s childhood was spent in Parramore, Orlando, Fl.. His favorite things to do were sports and art. He took every course available in art, ceramics, drawing 1, 2 and 3. But living in Parramore had its downsides also. His most distasteful memories were the outside noise, fights in the street,, normal neighborhood conflicts, etc. Walking to school was risky, every single day..
At an early age, Antron expressed himself through quick images he would draw that would focus his attention on current things happening in his life. After completing school in Parrmore, Antron decided to go on his own and began his own clothing line, doing his own embroidery line, and his days were spent in clothing design. His artistic talent was a natural for designing clothes that met immediate clients’ needs. Today, Antron has his own clothing store in Parramore, but his true desire is to share his life and art with as many people as he can touch.
Every day, he meets clients who need an escape from the daily routines that sometime become overwhelming. In an area like Parramore, there are many more “have-nots” than there are “haves”. He often gets asked about his artwork in his store. Why did he do it? Can they buy it? Did he go to school to learn how to create images? And more. From our early feedback from potential buyers, Antron’s audience covers a wide range of buyers. The young market is in, big-time. But, an elderly person over 65, loved the way Antron picked up the amazing features on one of his pieces. Since his market is free form, and comes from his heart, he relates to those who care about life, care about people, and want to make the world a better place.
